Benefits of Piano

Why learn music?  -   So you will recognize beauty. So you will be closer to an infinite beyond this world. So you will have more love, more  good, more life.

Music lessons are so important–they allow the practice and art of creativity, the development of perseverance, patience, organizational skills, curiosity, emotional maturity, discipline, enthusiasm, and fun. They encourage feelings of accomplishment, and are an awesome outlet for stress!

Practice Areas

Music and children are a natural combination. Through piano study the child can learn much about the  process of learning and develop an awareness of how self-discipline and daily practice can improve skills. The joy of musical expression and building self-esteem are also enhanced by combining muscular, visual and aural development. I am a firm believer in the benefits of music study for all individuals, regardless of age and ability.

My studio is comprised of preschool students, retired adults, and everything in between. Piano study develops not only a lifelong appreciation and love for music, but also important life skills including creativity, concentration, dedication, diligence, and perseverance. Parents are encouraged to be actively supportive and involved in their children's musical educations.

As a teacher, I believe it is my responsibility to continue growing as a musician and teacher throughout my career. I make it a priority to practice regularly, and stay informed about current piano pedagogy trends and perspectives. I strive to keep my teaching fresh and engaging using new repertoire, music games, or studio projects.

My students and I find great satisfaction  in the pursuit of furthering our musical abilities through piano study. Through music study, we learn to find and appreciate beauty in ourselves and in the world around us.

I hope you’ll join me on this exciting journey – and pursue the musician in you!
